TRUE !!

Selfies with animals : a trend that is attracting more and more tourists.

SITUATION

According to the ONG world animal protection, the number of selfies taken with wild animals and published on Instagram has greatly increased (increase of 292% over the past 3 years).

This is an activity particularly popular in the Brazilian city called 'Manaus'. 18 tourists' agencies offer to their customers the ability to touch the animals and take pictures, selfies with them.

CONSEQUENCES

These animals are often forced to be passive, separated from their mother or children and kept secretly in captivity. Selfie sellers feed animals to coax them. The selfies with the animals seriously harms their wellbeing.

CONCLUSION

This reality is all the more tragic as most tourists who take pictures with these incredible species love animals but are not aware that this activity is illegal and may have consequences (these animals are drugged, mistreated, conditioned and exploited for human pleasure). Of course this is only for THE BUSINESS and there is any consideration for animals.
