How much percent of cereal production is used for breeding ?

Par Perrine LAIGNEAU, publié le lundi 17 février 2020 13:28 - Mis à jour le mardi 10 mars 2020 11:22

Situation :

85% of soy is cultivated for animal food. Soy and cereals are highly nutritious for human although giving it to animals is absolutely ineffective. 70% of cultivable soil is indirectly or directly devoted to livestock.

Consequences :

800 million humans are malnourished because 2/3 of the soils are used for breeding or for livestock food production. Meat production is therefore a waste of resources.

Solutions :

We have to stop the excessive meat consumption and dedicate less cereal to animal food and rather give them to people !
